Be it D W Griffith who produced 450 short films (thus learning the art that would make him the 'Father of Film Grammar') or David Lynch (whose disturbing genius was apparent in his earliest short works) or for that matter Charlie Chaplin (who made more than 30 short films in his life time) short films have paved the way to cinematic creativity.

It is said that there is potential for one book and one film in each one of us. There are people who have not known that there is a writer or director in them, till the time they actually wielded a pen or a camera with the intention of creating something they believe in.

It is our endeavour to find such unknown talents from this country when it comes to films. For all we, or you, know, you might be the next big thing in World Cinema. But all big things have short beginnings. Have you made a short film you think is really good, in terms of story, cinematography, idea, treatment etc.? Do you believe that it has the potential to be seen in one breath alongside the works of the giants of World Cinema? If you do, then send us your short film, and if it convinces us as well, we will program it alongside the works of master directors. We will then give it the rightful place in the Indie Corner section in the DVDs of world cinema films we are releasing in this country.
