So much of our blood, sweat and tears (not really in that order) has gone into bringing World Cinema to your doorsteps, that it really pleases us when people take the efforts to trace us out, and write to us. It does two things, makes us feel good that there are people who care and makes us try harder to get more appreciation from the likes of you. Here are just a few words of appreciation we have received from different corners of the globe, just like that. Often they make us think, and more than we can imagine, they bring tears to our eyes. Thank you, for these invaluable tears of pearls, our greatest reward. The who’s who of the world have not been far behind and they have written mails and letters too, you can find out about them in the “Patrons of Palador” Page. | | Nothing brought in so much joy in the last month than to know that World Cinema is finally within my hands’ reach. Congratulations on this venture of tying up with Moserbaer! I’m an ardent lover of serious cinema and have picked up most of what you’ve released so far. Hope the same quality continues without any logo or advertisements running over the movies ‘cause a lot of my like-minded friends abstain from buying movies from India for the same reason. Looking forward for more. Cheers Nevin John | | | | | | | | I have bought selected titles from your Moserbear releases. My son, 15 now, is enjoying Bergman and Kurosawa. I think we have to make them see good films. The younger generation has a good sensibility, only we have to nurture them. And I take opportunity to thank you for opening the door-not window- to the world cinema. We will always be indebted to you for this. With lots of love and regards, Mukesh Dave | | | | | | | | I was amazed with the Palador Library, and I seriously can't wait to get hold of the films- Legally. As of now if we pay Rs 200-300 for a pirated copy(which does have a guarantee of return and replacecment). The pricing for such movies at Rs 400 is really cheap and decent. So, I can't wait to fill my trunk with the films, and rejoice.
Like many other Cinephile in the country and Film enthusiast our only source was purchasing the Pirated film. Even though, deep down, Piracy is something against the norms and Artist should get their due, but for us, the place(where we got this films) is as close as Cinematheque was to Novelle Vague- Preferably because all our education came from watching film's from this place. Now that I think, with the coming of Palador pictures it's high time we promote World Cinema here in India through legal and the right channels, and by any way I can help(Purchasing is one) I would love to promote, champion and stand for such cinema. Kudos to you guys, hope to see lot of your films in the market and purchase them originally.
Keep up the great work Nitesh Luc Rohit | |
